Noticed an article on mnsbc.com that a chap Ron Bowes, an online security consultant, has posted the personal details of 100 million Facebook users online (Pirate Bay 'site) in a downloadable file....
Apparently, Facebook has downplayed the issue, saying that no private data had been compromised.
OK - my question is: who is more irresponsible or responsible?
Facebook, this chap Ron Bowes or the Facebook Users who randomly supply details - private or otherwise - to the entire world…?
Should...

After just two years Bebo (remember the name) has been sold by AOL.
Bought for $850m (then £417m) it has now been off-loaded for just a fraction of the price paid by AOL in 2008.
The boss at the time Michael Birch happily walked (should I say 'danced') away with $300m!
It's all about timing - get it right and you're laughing!...

Landline telephone contract fees to be cut.
The three big landline telephone firms - BT, TalkTalk and Virgin - have agreed to make big cuts to the cost of ending their deals early.
The telecoms regulator, Ofcom, has told them to cut their "early termination" charges by up to 85%.
____________
However, my company SimplyFone does not tie any client into any time-related contract allowing all clients - both residential & business - the freedom to move at any time without incurring any...

MOBILE PHONES SECURITY
A lady had her handbag containing her mobile phone, credit card, wallet etc stolen.
Twenty minutes later when she called her husband telling him what had happened, her husband replied, 'I already received your text asking about our PIN number and I replied a little while ago.'
When they rushed down to the bank, the staff told them that all their money had sadly been withdrawn.
The thief had actually used the stolen mobile phone to text 'hubby' in the contact list to ge...

Chris Evans was forced to make a tactical withdrawal today after receiving tonnes of criticism for posting an offensive joke on Twitter.
The Radio 2 DJ tweeted about the vuvuzela horns which have become loved and hated at the South African World Cup.
He wrote: "You give an African 2 pounds a month and what do they do? Buy a bloody trumpet."
Evans has 84,000 followers on Twitter and many of them found the joke "offensive" and "politically incorrect". One follower ...

Nope, not the shock of watching Ingeeerland's tepid attempt at trying to win a footie match against rather poor opposition, but an ever greater jolt....
Can that possibly be true I hear you cry?
What, you may well ask, can be a greater surprise than an England goalie (once again) fumbling a ball...
Well, you be the judge:-
my company SimplyFone is fortunate enough to install & maintain telephone systems for companies the length & breadth of the UK and in particular hold contracts for several...

...this week I was requested by some of my agents & re-sellers to give a pep-talk to a group who felt that sales were stagnating and new enquiries slowing down.
Actually, sales volumes have not slowed at all - quite the reverse - but the fresh orders & Application Forms were increasingly sent in by several active agents and re-sellers rather than across the board.
My remit was to give them a buzz, shake 'em up, try to invigorate the guys, and get the old sales juices flowing once more….
In my...

Why is it that some so-called (or self-appointed) 'social media' and 'Twitter experts' tweet exactly the same stuff several times a day/week?
Today is one of the very few (perhaps the first) occasions that I've kept twitter active and live on one of my computer screens since 8.30am and I've noticed that some Twitter whizz-kids seem to regurgitate the same tweets again & again…
Not re-tweeting interesting snippets from others, but their own material pouring forth continuously?
Why is that? Wha...
