"I went to my first Meet and Link meeting on Tuesday (25/3/2010) and was very pleased I went. I met some interesting people and picked up a few ideas. I am relatively new to networking but felt very comfortable with this set up. Meeting with like minded people definitely helps in pushing you forward."

There are many examples where companies have been kicking themselves for turning down brilliant ideas, and it is mostly in these situations where the innovators really become a textbook success stories. I think that these innovators should have the courage to do their own thing. The same applies in popular music. Record companies are being very cautious about signing artists on, but when they do, they'll milk the artist as much as they can. Today's musicians, singers and bands have much more of a chance to make money independently than through a major record label.
