Hi

Here's a link to an article on multi tasking that you might enjoy over your coffee, whilst eating your lunch, reading your report and typing a letter - enjoy.

This ties in with your other article, I believe. Once upon a time, we used to get our post in the morning (and another delivery later that day), and the office phone would ring if someone needed you a bit more urgently. Very few of us could run a business under those conditions today, but my reckoning is that if you provide a good service to your customers, and you get them used to the idea that you do not mess around with emails, texts and tweets while you're supposed to be concentrating on their work, they will only appreciate you more, and forgive you if they can't get hold of you for a couple of hours.

Interesting I did an article on Ezine a while ago on the same subject. The key to success is focus, and I am a believer and practitioner of do only one thing once if possible. Completing is extremely motivational.Surprisingly I have found the higher up the organization the more the person thinks multi-tasking is the answer. They have their laptop, Blackberry, briefcase, and Bluetooth earpiece and wonder why they are nearly flattened crossing the road! Me when I leave the Office I have my Blackberry and an A5 Pukka Project Book and that's it. When I get in the car turn the phone off, that's why they invented Voice Mail. I spend the time listening to Audio Personal Development tracks off the iPOD plugged into the car stereo. Multi-tasking usually means you look very busy and end up finishing very little.
